Hi, Everyone, and Welcome to my Blog!

I'm pretty new at this blogging thing, but my friends and family have been encouraging me to give it a try, so I've finally decided to take the plunge.

I thought I'd start out with a little introduction to myself and my immediate family, and after that, I'll probably be focusing a bit more on my cardmaking and paper crafting "obsession"!

In a nutshell, I am: a country girl at heart (born and raised in Kansas), a child of the 60s, a perfectionist (although I'm still trying NOT to be!), a lover of nature and animals, a wife, a retired nurse, and a person seeking to further develop my creative side and rekindle my artistic flair. I also love music, and am particularly fond of New Age, piano instrumentals, soft jazz, and Rodgers and Hammerstein show tunes.

Although not an artist by trade, I have been a craftsperson all my life, and have always loved just about any kind of art and craft. I discovered scrapbooking and paper piecing six years ago, after retiring from my day job and finding myself here at home with a lot more free time on my hands. Soon after that, I started making handmade cards, and from that point on, I was hooked!

I've been selling handmade cards on eBay for about six years, and on Etsy for two years. I've grown quite fond of "paper piecing" and I still dabble now and then in scrapbook layouts.
